Job summary

Learnosity, a global leader in assessment technology, is hiring a Junior Software Engineer to help deliver our Workforce product roadmap. You will design and implement software, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to scalable applications in a fast‑moving environment.

You will work closely with experienced engineers to build new features, write tests, and ensure quality while developing your technical skills and career growth within Learnosity.

Qualifications

  • Commercial experience with agile frameworks and practices.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • 2+ years of experience as a web applications developer.
  • Commercial experience with Python and TypeScript.
  • Commercial experience with relational databases.
  • Commercial experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, modify, and support the development of software for Learnosity's Workforce product.
  • Contribute to task planning, estimation, and scheduling, working closely with other teams and management to deliver projects from inception to completion, and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
  • Contribute to scalable software applications.

Job Overview

We're looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our team and help bring our new Workforce product roadmap to fruition.

Core Goals and Responsibilities

Design, implement, modify, and support the development of software for Learnosity's Workforce product.

Contribute to task planning, estimation, and scheduling, working closely with other teams and management to deliver projects from inception to completion, and ensure documentation is kept up to date.

Contribute to scalable software applications.

Experience and Skills – Must Haves
  • Commercial experience with agile frameworks and practices.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • 2+ years of experience as a web applications developer.
  • Commercial experience working with Python and TypeScript.
  • Commercial experience with relational databases.
  • Commercial experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
Experience and Skills – Nice to Have
  • B.Sc or M.Sc degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Commercial experience with AI tools and concepts, including machine learning and large language models.
  • Experience of Test‑Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience working in a startup environment (we are not a startup but are looking for our AI Labs teams to have a startup mindset).
