Job summary

Crown is an Ireland-based specialist roofing, cladding and façade contractor delivering major European projects. We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial team on high-value projects across Europe.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist with tendering, take-offs, valuations and cost control while developing your career in a collaborative environment. A degree in QS or related field, strong numeracy and IT skills are essential, with occasional travel to

Responsibilities

• Assist with tender preparation and pricing submissions.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
• Support interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Assist with procurement and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow.
• Maintain commercial records and site documentation.
• Assist with subcontractor management and payment applications.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with Commercial Manager, Project Managers and site teams.
• Carry out site measurements and progress assessments.
• Ensure contractual documentation is maintained accurately and on time.
• Support the delivery of projects from start to finish.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll support the commercial delivery of projects from tender stage through to final account, gaining exposure to every aspect of Quantity Surveying on high-value construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the successful commercial delivery of projects from start to finish.

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, ambitious and eager to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline, or relevant construction industry experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence.
• Willingness to work away from home on a rotational basis in Frankfurt, Germany.

Desirable

• Experience working on roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project or commercial software.
