Job summary

Siemens Energy in Ireland (Dublin) is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join the Grid Technologies Order Execution (OEX) unit. You will contribute to end-to-end project fulfilment, supporting Sales, Bid and Commercials, and helping ensure on-time deliveries across transmission products.

The role requires a degree in Engineering or related field and a proactive, collaborative mindset. You will work with local/subcontractors and overseas factories, maintaining compliance with client and EHS

Responsibilities

  • Join the Order Execution Team (OEX) and support delivery of projects.
  • Organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and orders.
  • Assist PM in on-time deliveries for GIS, Circuit Breakers, Transformers, and related products.
  • Coordinate with local subcontractors and overseas factories from order to handover, ensuring client and Siemens Energy EHS requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance/commercial teams to provide accurate reporting on metrics.
  • Identify opportunities, variations and risks and report promptly to the business.
  • Leverage knowledge assets to optimize solutions and costs.

Within your role within the GT OEX Organization, you will have the opportunity to experience and contribute to the Order Execution unit and have experience working with several key areas: Sales, Bid, and Commercials. Below is an outline of what you can expect from your daily involvement in the team:

Join the Operations Team and contribute to the critical task of order delivery. Keep an eye on active projects to identify and address any potential issues or hold-ups. Participate in design, commercial, progress and logistics meetings to fully understand the complexities of project fulfilment. Assist with handovers of new projects and follow up with relevant stakeholders.

In the role, you will acquire practical experience and deepen your understanding of the various aspects of the project management cycle within the GT Order Execution Unit. How You’ll Make an Impact
  • The Junior Project Manager will be part of the Order Execution Team (OEX) within the Grid Technologies unit. They will:
  • Demonstrate ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects/orders.
  • Assist the efforts of the PM to execute project/order deliveries for a wide range of transmission products including GIS, Circuit Breakers, Transformers etc on time delivery.
  • Assist the efforts of the PM for the management of local subcontractors and overseas factories from Order through delivery up to handover in accordance with the client schedule and quality requirements and always ensuring strict adherence to client & Siemens Energy EHS requirements.
  • Assist the efforts of the PM for working with finance/ commercial team on a regular basis to ensure accurate reporting of financial/ commercial metrics.
  • Assist the efforts of the PM in ensuring all potential opportunities, variations and risks are identified and reported to the Business as soon as possible.
  • Use and make available to others knowledge assets to optimise the proposed solution and project costs.
