Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Junior Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial projects in Dublin and Wicklow areas. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Construction Management or Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in the field. Responsibilities include coordinating with the design team and managing site staff. Strong IT skills and knowledge of AutoCAD are desirable. Competitive salary of €55K - €65K plus package offered.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management or Engineering is essential.
  • At least 3 years' experience as an engineer with a Main Contractor.
  • Strong IT skills and good digital and visual presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor construction drawings and specifications.
  • Manage site staff and subcontractors.
  • Report to and support the Contracts Manager and Senior Project Manager.

Overview

Job Title – Junior Project Manager

Project – Residential & Commercial

Job Location – Dublin / Wicklow Areas

Salary – €55K - €65K + package

The Role
  • Coordinate and monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
  • Assist with design approval and interpretation.
  • Act as #1 on site driving onsite deliver.
  • Work with design team from preconstruction stages through to completion and effectively manage any design issues that may arise during the construction process.
  • Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.
  • Update programme accordingly.
  • Plan works in accordance with programme.
  • Report to and support the Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager and Client.
  • Direct and Manage personnel, site staff and subcontractors and manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.
  • Monitor the procurement/ planning of materials and ensure budget set is adhered to.
  • Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.
Requirements
  • Degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Third level qualification) is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as ana engineer with a Main Contractor in Dublin.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint with Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and ProCore is desirable.
