Job summary

Openchip & Software Technologies S.L. in Ireland invites applications for a Junior Performance Software Engineer to help optimize AI and HPC workloads and benchmarks on our RISC-V platform.

You will work with the performance team to identify bottlenecks, analyze system-level behavior, and collaborate with hardware, compiler, and software groups. A strong foundation in C/C++, Rust, and performance tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of experience in performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture and OS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Optimize AI and HPC workloads for RISC-V silicon with vector extensions.
• Profile and identify bottlenecks using performance tools.
• Collaborate with hardware, compiler, and software teams to improve workloads.
• Present findings to technical leadership and contribute upstream.
