Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out regular site safety inspections and audits under the guidance of senior advisors.
• Support with incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
• Help maintain and update EHS records, registers, and documentation to ensure compliance with legislation.
• Participate in delivering site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Contribute to preparing safety reports and KPIs for the senior management team.
• Support the review of method statements, risk assessments, and Safe Work Plans.
• Gain exposure to client and contractor safety requirements through site meetings and collaboration.
• Provide day-to-day support to site teams on EHS queries and promote a positive safety culture.

Qualifications and Skills

• A recognised qualification in Health & Safety (Degree, Diploma or equivalent) – recent graduates welcome.
• Some experience in construction, engineering, or related industries (e.g. internship, placement, or 1–2 years’ work experience) would be beneficial but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to learn.
• Good organisational, IT and document management skills (Microsoft Office proficiency required).
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Full, clean driving licence preferred.

Desired Skills

• Occupational or Mental Health First Aid certification.
• Train the Trainer qualification.
• Membership or working towards membership of IOSH.
• Familiarity with auditing/inspection software and mobile reporting tools.
