Job summary

Ashgrove Renewables in Ireland is seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join our growing Design team. You will contribute to system designs, prepare underfloor heating and radiator layouts, and perform heat loss calculations for heat pumps in line with regulations.

You will collaborate with architects, BER assessors and engineers, liaise with clients at the design stage, and ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years work experience in a design role is desirable.
• Degree in mechanical, electrical or renewable energy discipline.
• Sound knowledge of AutoCAD or other related design software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job description

The Role:
Due to continuous expansion, we are seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join our team.

The successful applicant will support our Design department with responsibility for system designs, preparation of underfloor heating and radiator designs, heat loss calculations for heat pumps and review of electrical and mechanical schematics.

This role requires strong attention to detail, and an awareness of Building regulations is of paramount importance, along with compliance with the SEAI requirements. Working in conjunction with other stakeholders, you will be a proactive and clear communicator, able to work on own initiative and prioritise own workload.

This is an office-based role, where some travel to site may be required occasionally.

Training will be provided.
