Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician 1 to perform installation tasks on contracted projects, including cable pulls, terminations, rack systems, and metal fabrication per directives.

The role involves coordinating with the Lead Technician to meet time, scope, budget, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements. You will read schematics, use hand and power tools, and assist with equipment management on varied AV installations.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues and vendors.
• Customer service oriented with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Basic understanding of audio-visual systems including projectors, screens, speakers and control systems.
• Basic proficiency in installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling and related wiring methods.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks as noted in job summary and in support of Lead Technician.
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with AV systems installation tasks.
• Assist Lead Tech with management and security of all equipment and tools on site.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
• Support team with flexible tasks as priorities evolve.
