Job summary

GAC Ireland is seeking a Jetty Operator in Dublin to manage mooring accuracy and safe discharge operations. You will ensure gangways are correctly rigged, monitor discharge activities, and handle equipment connections with a focus on safety and compliance.

Full training will be provided; marine or terminal experience is helpful but not mandatory. A valid driving licence and basic certifications are desirable as part of the role within a global shipping and logistics group.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure vessels are moored correctly and aligned with shore loading arms and connections.
  • Ensure safe access for vessels via correctly rigged gangways and monitor during discharge operations.
  • Connect/disconnect off-loading equipment (hoses/loading arms/spool pieces).
  • Monitor and adjust connections as required; operate valves for safe discharge.
  • Take ship samples and perform line walks and checks; complete required documentation.
