Job summary

MiFinity is seeking a backend engineer to join our payments platform in Dublin. You’ll design and implement Java-based services that process money transfers, enhance APIs, and ensure scalability and reliability of the microservices that orchestrate transactions across rails.

The role covers full lifecycle from design with stakeholders to writing clean code, unit tests, debugging production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance payment solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed systems and backend Java development.
• Ability to design scalable, reliable backend services for payments.
• Comfort with full software lifecycle from design to debugging in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop new in-house products.
• Translate use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient Java code with tests.
• Ensure performance, quality, and scalability of apps.
• Document features and share knowledge within the team.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
