Job summary

Spencer Recruitment Ltd seeks an experienced IT Information Security Manager to join a government-supported organisation in Dublin. You will oversee the organisation's information security, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity governance and regulatory compliance while managing relationships with outsourced IT service providers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in IT, information security or cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, cybersecurity governance and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, servers and cloud platforms.
• Experience managing outsourced IT providers and supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
• Understanding of AI governance and responsible AI compliance.
• Relevant third-level qualification in IT, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+ or ISO 27001 are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain ISMS in line with ISO 27001 standards.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity controls and outsourced IT providers.
• Coordinate internal and external security audits, risk assessments and compliance activities.
• Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor supplier performance, service agreements and third-party security risks.
• Lead AI governance initiatives and ensure responsible AI use aligned with EU AI Act.
• Support NIS2 readiness and broader cybersecurity compliance.
• Deliver security awareness training and report security performance to senior management.
