Job summary

Quanta Consultancy Services Ltd. is seeking an Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Ireland (Roscommon) to support life sciences projects.

You will own end-to-end IT/OT delivery, coordinating with engineering, operations, IT security, vendors and system integrators to meet scope, schedule and budget. The role requires extensive PLC/SCADA experience (Siemens, Schneider), familiarity with Ignition, Aveva PI, MES (PAS-X) as an advantage, and solid knowledge of ITIL processes and AD

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in IT/OT project delivery.
• Experience with PLC & SCADA (Siemens, Schneider).
• Experience with Ignition, ThinManager, Aveva PI.
• Experience with MES PAS-X is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory design and implementation.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes related to Project and Service Delivery (ServiceNOW).
• Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of IT/OT projects from initiation through handover.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, IT security & infrastructure, vendors, and system integrators.
• Lead requirements gathering and solution design for OT systems and related IT integrations.
• Ensure safety and compliance requirements are embedded in delivery (change control, permit-to-work, site access, operational readiness).
