Job summary

WuXi Biologics in Dundalk is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to join the local IT team and support IT services across the site. You will work with the global IT function to deliver service desk, imaging, and operations aligned with GMP and corporate policies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, 5 years IT support/ops experience, and strong communication. You’ll contribute to projects, implement IT policies, and model WuXi core values in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Provide IT site services following the service catalogue and SLAs, including laptop imaging, Help Desk and Service Desk support.
• Collaborate with the global IT organization to align site services with global standards.
• Deliver all assigned IT Service Operations tasks for the primary site and other sites as needed.
• Participate in local and global IT projects and coordinate roll-out at site level.
• Comply with GMP, SOPs, policies and safety rules; uphold WuXi corporate values.

Job description

The IT Operations Specialist will work as part of the Dundalk IT team and collaborate with the global IT team support and execute WuXi Dundalk site IT operations. This role will be responsible for participating in service improvement initiatives and projects as assigned. The IT Operations Specialist will be key to the design and implementation of IT policies and protocols in line with corporate and legal policies and procedures. This role will also support service improvement initiatives and projects as assigned.

As IT Operations Specialist, you’ll be joining an organization where people of all backgrounds and experiences are respected, and where we work together focused on changing lives. In this role you will report to the IT Business Partner. This role is being offered as a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide IT site services following the service catalogue and service level agreements, including laptop imaging, Help Desk and Service Desk support.
• Collaborate with the global IT organization to maintain the IT Service in alignment with global & site-specific IT services.
• Provide all assigned IT Service Operations tasks assigned for the primary assigned site and any other assigned sites.
• Participate in local and global IT projects and coordinate roll-out of same on local site level.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
• Perform all duties in accordance with GMP requirements, SOPs and controlled documents.
• Will be flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the IT Business Partner.
• Will act as a role model for the IT function and also the wider organisation in adherence to the WuXi corporate core values and PROUD culture.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

Education

• A Bachelors Computer Science or similar degree.

Technical Knowledge

• Desktop support incl. MS Office Suite
• MS Windows Server administration
• Network technologies / protocols and administration
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Microsoft Office 365
• ITIL Foundation Certification preferred

Knowledge/Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT support and / or IT operations, ideally in regulatory manufacturing environment.
• Excellent project management and coordination skills.
• Experiences in collaboration within international teams.
