SETU in Waterford is seeking an Irish Language Officer, Grade VI, for a part-time, two-year specified purpose post. The role involves monitoring compliance with the Official Languages Act and supporting the university's Irish Language Strategy across all campuses.

• Contract: Part Time, 2-Year Specified Purpose /Conradh leathama 2 bliana
• Salary:The gross salary applicable to the post of Grade VI is €58,476 - €71,440 p.a. on a full-time basis (as at 01/06/2026). SETU wishes to recruit an Irish Language Officer to monitor and record compliance with relevant legislative requirements as set out in the Official Languages Act 2003 and 2021, and to facilitate and progress actions set out in the University’s Irish Language Strategy. More broadly, the Irish Language Officer will be responsible for promoting, supporting and enhancing the use of the Irish language within SETU across all campuses of SETU, working with staff and students, to support the University to achieve its strategic objectives in this area.
