South Dublin County Council is seeking an Irish Language Officer to join its Communications Unit. The role requires Irish language proficiency for interviews and ongoing communication with staff and the public.
The position is full-time, permanent and pensionable. A panel will be formed to fill permanent and temporary vacancies, and staff may be assigned to locations within the South Dublin administrative area.
Please note that candidates are required to provide all their information on their online application form in the Irish Language. Additionally, all interviews for this position will be conducted through Irish. Applicants should be comfortable communicating in Irish during the interview process.
The person allocated to this role will be a member of the Council’s Communications Unit. In addition to the duties outlined for the role of Irish Language Officer the person appointed will also be required to support the work of the Communications Unit as assigned by the Communications Manager or other Line Manager.
The office is wholetime, permanent and pensionable. A panel will be formed to fill permanent and temporary vacancies. Persons employed will be required to work in any location within the South Dublin administrative area.
