Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking an Employment Counsel for Ireland, based in Dublin with a hybrid model. The role provides practical Irish employment law advice across the lifecycle, including disputes, restructurings, outsourcing, and contract provisions, working with HR, procurement and business teams in Ireland, the UK and wider EMEA.

The successful candidate will have 7–10 years of relevant experience, a qualified Irish solicitor or barrister, and a track record in both contentious

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or barrister entitled to practise in Ireland.
• 7–10 years of relevant Irish employment law experience in private practice and/or in-house.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment law, TUPE, and industrial relations processes.
• Experience advising on outsourcing, reorganisations and employment contracts.

Responsibilities

• Advise HR and leadership on day-to-day employment matters including TUPE and policies.
• Provide practical, commercial advice on equality, discrimination, harassment, and data protection.
• Advise on restructurings, redundancies, consultation obligations and workforce communications.
• Draft, review and negotiate employment provisions in contracts and transfer arrangements.
• Manage employment claims and disputes before regulatory bodies or courts, coordinating with external counsel.
