Job summary

Mastercard seeks an Intern in Data Engineering in Ireland to join a dynamic analytics team. You will contribute to building data pipelines, models and data-driven solutions while learning from seasoned professionals in a global payments leader.

You will work on diverse datasets, applying Python, SQL and statistical methods, with opportunities to engage across business areas and showcase your work at the end of the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or accelerated master's programme, graduating in summer 2028.
• Availability for 6 month internship program starting in February 2027.
• Experience or coursework in data science, data engineering, data analysis, statistics, computer science, mathematics or related field.
• Experience with programming and/or querying languages such as Python, SQL, R or similar.
• Understanding of data structures, databases, data processing and/or data analysis concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What you'll do:

As a Data Scientist or Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:

• Continuously explore and apply new technologies, methodologies and industry developments to improve data and AI capabilities.

What we’re looking for
