Job summary

Sedgwick in Dublin is seeking a Compliance & Data Privacy Officer to support a robust compliance framework within a regulated insurance outsourcing environment. You will contribute to regulatory monitoring, data privacy activities, risk management, policy governance and stakeholder engagement across the business.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years' experience in risk, privacy or regulatory roles in financial services, with good knowledge of GDPR.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in risk, privacy or regulatory roles within financial services.
• Experience working in a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles.
• Exposure to Solvency II governance, risk management, or regulatory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the company's compliance programme.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of new laws, regulations, and industry guidance.
• Assist in conducting compliance monitoring reviews and risk assessments across business functions.
• Support the management of regulatory breaches, incidents, and compliance remediation activities.
• Review and update compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Provide compliance advice and guidance to business stakeholders on regulatory matters.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and interactions with regulators.
• Support the operation of the Solvency II governance framework, including policy governance and control monitoring.
• Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the identification and mitigation of compliance risks.
• Maintain compliance registers, records, and management information reports.
• Support audits and assurance reviews undertaken by internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the organisation's compliance with GDPR and applicable data protection legislation.
• Assist with data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk assessments.
• Support the management of data subject access requests and privacy-related incidents.
• Work closely with legal, information security, and operational teams on privacy matters.
• Monitor developments in privacy regulation and data governance requirements.
