Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician for a permanent role in Clondalkin, Dublin. The technician will maintain and troubleshoot automated systems (BMS, QBMS, MCS, VPE) and liaise with client engineering and vendors to maximise uptime.

39 hours per week, 08:00–16:30, with project and reliability work as required. Key tasks include updating documentation, training in SOPs and EWIs, and ensuring compliance with site and Veolia EHS rules.

Qualifications

• National Craft Certificate (or equivalent) in E&I, Electrical or Instrumentation.
• Cert/Diploma/Degree in Industrial Automation Controls/Electrical/Instrumentation.
• Experience with SCADA/PLC systems.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Troubleshooting/repair of low voltage electrical systems.
• Experience in pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong organisational skills; team player; methodical and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of client’s automated systems.
• Coordination and supervision of vendors and subcontractors on site.
• Completion of documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules.
• Delivery of delegated engineering tasks in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Update stores spare lists as appropriate when required.
• Keep training current in line with client’s requirements (SOPs, EWIs).
• Review maintenance task lists and related docs to implement changes after review.
• Ensure work complies with Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.
• Liaise with client Automation group; perform other duties as directed by Veolia Contract Manager.
