Job summary

Actavo in Ireland is seeking a field technician to install telecommunications cable and equipment and deliver an outstanding customer experience from the first call to job completion.

You will use field apps to report progress, track faults, and complete work safely while upskilling through ongoing training. Training rates start at €14.15–€14.42 per hour, with earnings projected to around €39k–€47k per year for a 5‑day week.

Qualifications

• Full manual driver's license is required.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Time management and problem-solving skills requested.
• KPI focused with flexibility to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Installing telecommunication cable and equipment as per training.
• Deliver an excellent customer experience from initial phone call to job completion.
• Using field apps to report back on activity and works completed.
• Upskill and attend various training courses.
• Take due care to prevent loss or damage when working on a customer’s property.
• Timely accident reporting.
• Track faults using devices and tools provided.
• Using power tools and ladders safely.
• Maintain a clean and presentable appearance always.
• Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Health and Safety procedures.

What we offer:

• Weekly pay based on previous weeks completed work
• Weeks 1-4 Training rate of €14.15 per hour
• Week 5 to end of month 5 - Field training rate of €14.42 per hour
• Rate card payable from week 5
• Avg earnings on rate card at month 6 is €39k per annum (5 day week Mon-Sat)
• Avg earnings on rate card at month 10 is €47k per annum (5 day week Mon-Sat)
• Double pay on Sunday\'s
