Job summary

Primark is seeking a Consumer Insights & Market Analytics professional to build country-specific consumer stories, analyse transactional data, and coordinate with data providers. You will translate data into actionable insights for local growth strategies across multiple markets.

You will maintain dashboards in Power BI, synthesize syndicated and primary data, and present findings to stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years' experience in consumer insights, customer analytics or market research, ideally within retail, ecommerce or Fashion.
  • Hands-on experience with syndicated data sources such as Kantar/Worldpanel, and Oxford Economics, and comfortable combining them with transactional data.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with external data providers, coordinate deliverables and quality-check their work.
  • Strong analytical and dashboarding skills, proficient in Excel and Power BI, comfortable with automation and curious about AI-assisted analytics.
  • Storytelling: able to interpret data and get to the 'so what', not just report numbers.
  • Highly organised, with the project-management discipline to maintain reference documents, logs and processes.
  • Comfortable working across markets and with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, Italian or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the consumer and market story for priority countries, producing the fact-packs, competitive analysis and consumer-behaviour synthesis that guide local strategy and growth, with direction from the Performance & Growth Insights Manager.
  • Act as the day-to-day contact for Primark's external data providers, coordinating briefs, deliverables and quality across the relationship.
  • Analyse Primark's transactional data for your countries, connecting sales and customer behaviour to the wider market picture to explain what is driving performance.
  • Support the Performance & Growth Insights Manager in feeding consistent, comparable country inputs into the KPI frameworks and scorecards used across Strategy, Finance and Leadership.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with external data providers including Kantar/Worldpanel, SITA (for the respective countries) and Oxford Economics; brief requests, track deliverables and quality-check outputs.
  • Combine syndicated data, transactional data and primary research into a single, clear view per market, connecting brand tracking, value and price perception, market share and consumer trends
  • Keep source documentation, definitions and processes up to date so analysis stays consistent and repeatable across markets.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and automated reporting for your countries in Power BI, working with Data/Tech teams to reduce manual effort.
  • Produce clear, relevant insight deliverables including reports and presentations, getting to the 'so what' rather than reporting numbers.
  • Present findings to country and central stakeholders in a way they can act on, helping answer 'how we win with customers' for each market.
  • Track competitor moves, pricing and market indicators across your markets, using Edited as a tool, flagging opportunities and risks early enough for local teams to act on them.
  • Maintain a 'finger on the pulse' understanding of your countries through self-initiated desk research and competitive monitoring
