** Please note, this is a contract position for 12 months and requires 3 days a week onsite in Cork**
This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management and delivery of diverse IT projects (Compute and Network), ensuring strategic alignment, risk mitigation, and clear communication across a global enterprise.
- Lead projects from initiation through closure, including planning, design, execution, and formal stage-gate management.
- Proactively manage all project risks, stakeholders, and escalations. Present project status and strategic direction to senior leadership and steering committees.
- Prepare all necessary project communications, including routine status reports, governance materials, and comprehensive meeting minutes with clear action plans and follow-up.
- Coordinate and align matrixed, cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and dependencies.
- Engage with the Global Project Management Office (PMO) and Planning teams to integrate new policies, manage the project portfolio pipeline, and ensure compliance with governance and audit controls.
- Provide project management guidance and support to other project managers and staff across various sites.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in IT Project Management, specifically leading complex projects.
- Strong, hands-on experience utilizing both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, present effectively to leadership, and handle complex stakeholder groups.
- Foundational understanding of IT delivery projects, including Compute, Network, and Software Solutions.
- Proficient with industry-standard Project Management and Portfolio tools (e.g., MS Project, Office 365 applications) and comfortable using collaboration tools like Azure Dev Ops (ADO).
- Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change, achieve strong results, and lead/mentor teams through validation phases.
- An ability to identify and articulate IT-related asks/risks through discussions with diverse teams (focused on areas like Compute and Network), even without complete technical expertise or full scope knowledge.
