Job summary

Vision Ireland's National Training Centre (NTC Dublin) seeks an Orientation & Mobility Instructor to deliver specialist assessment, training and support for working-age adults with sight loss. You will develop rehab plans and help learners access employment, education and daily living skills.

The role involves QQI training delivery, multidisciplinary collaboration, and contributing to continuous improvement within a learner-centred environment. Garda Vetting is required for the post.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Orientation & Mobility or Vision Rehabilitation.
• Professional O&M certification or eligibility for certification.
• Strong knowledge of O&M assessment, techniques and teaching approaches.
• Experience supporting people who are vision impaired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver O&M training to promote safe, confident travel.
• Assess mobility in home, community, education and work environments.
• Develop and review individualised O&M plans.
• Maintain records and participate in QA processes.
