Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Incident Management Engineer to lead incident response for enterprise customers, coordinating with engineering teams to drive timely resolutions and effective communications.

The role requires strong analytical and technical skills, ability to operate at tactical and strategic levels, and a passion for delivering world-class customer experiences. Core hours are 8am-4pm GMT+1 with some weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Experience across networks, OS, databases, security/compliance, CI/CD, and OO programming.

Responsibilities

Drive the resolution of large scale customer impacting incidents as part of a team rotation.
Drive critical, complex customer escalations with Engineering Teams.
Provide incident response/management including leading calls with participants.
Contribute to Problem Records for customers.
Conduct real-time proactive monitoring of customer metrics.
Prioritize and own emerging customer issues end-to-end.
Monitor communications during high impact events via relevant channels.
Collaborate with AWS stakeholders to improve customer experience and ops.
Lead projects to drive operational improvements.
Create/review SOPs and documentaiton; troubleshoot recurring issues.
Mentor peers in technical/operational areas; perform other duties.
