Job summary
GEA in Ireland is seeking an experienced IIoT Engineer to design, implement and support cloud-connected automation solutions for food & beverage equipment. You’ll work across Azure, time-series analytics (InfluxDB/Databricks) and OT cybersecurity to enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance and energy optimization.
You’ll collaborate with product managers and automation engineers, drive standardized data models and scalable architectures, and help deliver sustainable digital
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Industrial Automation, IIoT, Cloud Engineering, or Digital Solutions.
- Experience delivering cloud-based software using Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with InfluxDB and Databricks for time-series data management, analytics, reporting.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support IIoT solutions that connect equipment with cloud-based apps and analytics.
- Integrate Siemens and Rockwell automation with cloud platforms.
- Develop digital applications for monitoring, predictive maintenance, energy management and production analytics.
- Implement edge-to-cloud connectivity for real-time data collection and monitoring.
- Standardize digital architectures, data models and integration frameworks.
- Ensure IIoT solutions comply with OT cybersecurity standards.
