Job summary

CEL Critical Power in Ireland is seeking an ICT Technician on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role offers hands-on experience in end-user support, Microsoft 365 administration, and infrastructure projects within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

You will work on-site at Citywest, support desktops, laptops, and devices, assist with Azure AD and device provisioning, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives, onboarding new staff, and maintaining IT documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Log, triage, and resolve first-line IT support tickets.
  • Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, printers, and scanners.
  • Assist users with troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to the internal ICT team or external service providers where required.
  • Support meeting room technology, audiovisual equipment, and conferencing systems.
  • Assist with the administration of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
  • Support user account creation, licence allocation, password resets, and access management.
  • Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Gain practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity management processes.
  • Support the delivery of strategic ICT initiatives, including infrastructure, security, and cloud-based projects.
  • Assist with testing, deployment, documentation, and implementation activities.
  • Contribute to projects such as SSO, Azure Virtual Desktop, and other digital transformation initiatives.
  • Prepare and configure devices for new employees.
  • Set up user accounts, licences, and required system access.
  • Support IT inductions and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Assist with device refresh programmes and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset registers and equipment inventories.
  • Monitor stock levels and support procurement processes where required.
  • Create and update SOPs, knowledge base articles, and user guides.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated ICT Technician to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, multi-site corporate environment.

Working alongside an experienced ICT team, you will provide first-line technical support to end users, assist with the administration of Microsoft technologies, and contribute to a range of infrastructure and digital transformation projects. This role offers broad exposure across IT support, systems administration, and project delivery, making it an ideal first step for someone looking to develop a career in Information and Communications Technology.

Key Responsibilities
End User Support
  • Log, triage, and resolve first-line IT support tickets.
  • Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, printers, and scanners.
  • Assist users with troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
