Job summary
GenetiQ in Dundalk, Ireland seeks an ICT Field Service Engineer to join our customer support and infrastructure team. You will provide remote and onsite technical support and help maintain secure IT environments for our customers.
This role requires regular travel to customer sites and a full clean driving licence. You will install and manage servers, virtual environments, networking equipment, and Microsoft 365, with a focus on reliability and security.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in ICT support, infrastructure or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls and VPNs.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
- Experience with virtualization and backup technologies.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, taking ownership through to completion.
- Install, configure and maintain servers, virtual environments, networking equipment and related infrastructure.
- Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Monitor systems, perform proactive maintenance and implement improvements.
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations and customer projects.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and customer records.
- Work with colleagues, vendors and customers to deliver high-quality support and service.
- Apply security best practices, including patching, access controls, MFA and endpoint protection.

We are looking for an ICT Field Service Engineer to join our customer support and infrastructure team. You will provide remote and onsite technical support, deliver infrastructure projects, and help maintain secure and reliable IT environments for our customers.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and supporting a wide range of technologies across multiple environments.
