Job summary

Bidvest Noonan is hiring a Night Cleaning Operative for our meat processing and packaging facility in Watergrasshill, Co. Cork. You will maintain high cleanliness standards, follow food safety and health & safety rules, and work 22:00–6:00.

Full training provided; prior cleaning experience preferred. Must have drive licence and own car, and a valid visa to work in Ireland. English proficiency required. You will work alone and as part of a team as needed, reporting to supervisors.

• Maintain cleaning records and report hygiene or safety issues to supervisors

About The Role

Cleaning Operative - Night - Full Time

We are looking for a Cleaning Operative to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our meat processing and packaging facility, ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.

Working hours - 22:00 - 6:00

Location – Watergrasshill, co. Cork

Key Responsibilities of a Cleaning Operative:

• Carry out thorough cleaning and sanitisation of industrial environment, processing, and meat packaging areas in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and company standards.
• Clean and disinfect production equipment, machinery, floors, walls, drains, and work surfaces to prevent contamination and maintain a safe food production environment.
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment while adhering to all health and safety procedures.
• Remove waste, and other production residues in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate cleaning records and promptly report any hygiene, equipment, or safety issues to supervisors.

Key Requirements:

• Comfortable working alone and as part of a team as required for the role
• Ability to prioritise and manage an ever-changing workload
• Cleaning experience would be preferred however full training will be provided
• Valid Visa to work in Ireland on a full-time basis
• A good understanding of English, both written and spoke
• Candidates need to hold a driving licence and have must access to their own car
