Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a skilled hydrogeologist to lead groundwater projects across Ireland. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality assessments, manage client relationships, and contribute to regulatory reporting.

The role requires substantial experience in hydrogeology, knowledge of the Water Framework Directive, and a drive to mentor junior staff. A driving licence and a Chartered pathway are advantageous in a flexible, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in science, engineering or mathematics.
• Relevant years of work experience in consultancy, water sector, regulator or academia.
• Experience in water resources / hydrogeology.
• Knowledge of the Water Framework Directive.
• Experience with groundwater quality issues and contaminated land.
• Experience preparing EIAR Water Chapters and WFD reports.
• Understanding of surface-groundwater links and Ireland's karst systems.
• Valid full, clean Irish driving licence.
• Chartered status or working towards chartered (desirable).

We are undertaking an increasing number and range of important and exciting projects that involve groundwater resource evaluation, determining 'zone of contribution', and assessing the Environmental impacts on groundwater of new infrastructure. You could help us to win and deliver work across our extensive client portfolio and enhance our reputation for excellence.As an already experienced, and ideally chartered, hydrogeologist, you will have led and delivered groundwater related project tasks in Ireland, the UK and/or internationally. You will work closely with our technical specialists who are based in our established teams across Ireland and the UK.
