Job summary

Private Therapy Clinic Ireland is seeking a Trauma Psychologist / EMDR Therapist to join our emerging national team on a self-employed, hybrid basis. You’ll support staff after critical incidents, deliver EMDR and trauma-focused CBT, and liaise with HR and occupational health.

Ireland-based with some in-person availability; Garda vetting and indemnity insurance required. Start date subject to contract award.

Qualifications

• Psychologist PSI Chartered or equivalent, or accredited psychotherapist/counsellor.
• Training in EMDR and/or trauma-focused CBT.
• Experience working with trauma in adults.
• Right to work in Ireland and Garda vetting.
• EMDR Europe accreditation or working towards it.
• Experience in occupational, EAP or corporate settings.
• Ability to offer in-person availability in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely psychological support to staff after critical incidents and trauma.
• Carry out trauma-informed assessments, including risk assessment.
• Deliver evidence-based trauma therapy (EMDR and trauma-focused CBT).
• Offer sessions online and in-person in Ireland.
• Monitor progress using standard outcome measures.
• Liaise with HR and occupational health with employee consent.
• Signpost or refer onward for additional specialist support.
• Maintain accurate, secure clinical records in line with GDPR.
