Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP seeks a Software Engineering Intern to join the RDA team in Galway. You will help develop Remote Support and automation solutions, contributing to the software lifecycle and testing efforts.

Start Date: 11. January 2026 (approx. 8 months). Location: Galway, Ireland. Enrolled university students eligible for an Ireland internship. Hybrid work arrangement with office days required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Returning to complete studies following the internship period.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, testing, and maintenance of features within RDA.
• Work with engineers to design and implement enhancements using C++, Kafka, MariaDB/MySQL, Grommet/React.js.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including testing and reviews.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to improve product quality and reliability.
• Investigate defects and assist with root cause analysis and resolution.
• Contribute to automation initiatives to improve productivity and deployment processes.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate learning and code quality.
• Collaborate with teams across a globally distributed organisation.
