Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Senior Principal Data Architect to lead enterprise healthcare data platforms within the Patient Care Systems ecosystem. You will shape data strategy, drive interoperability, and partner with product, engineering, security, privacy, and regulatory teams to deliver scalable solutions.

You will define architecture governance, mentor teams, and ensure data exchange meets HL7/FHIR standards while balancing costs and timelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline plus 15+ years in software/data/platform architecture; or Master’s with 13+ years.
Experience with data platforms, interoperability, and regulatory compliance in healthcare.
Strong knowledge of cloud architectures and data integration patterns.
Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-scale data platforms within the Patient Care Systems ecosystem.
Drive interoperability solutions and data architecture strategy with cross-functional teams.
Define governance, standards, and documentation for data exchange and analytics.
Collaborate with Product Owners, UX, Systems Engineers, Architects, and security/privacy teams.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant data solutions on schedule.
