Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team and take responsibility for the performance of a key operational division. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work with senior management to provide financial insight and drive cost control and profitability.

You will lead budgeting and forecasting, manage monthly P&L reporting and partner with operational managers to optimize cost structures.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability.
• Confident influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, organized and able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting and performance for the assigned business area.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and regular P&L reporting.
• Analyse financial results, investigate variances and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with operational managers to manage costs and deliver against budgets.
• Provide financial support for tenders, pricing and commercial decisions.
• Lead regular financial performance reviews with senior stakeholders.
• Support the wider finance team with group reporting and management accounts.
• Produce financial analysis and ad hoc reports as required.
