Job summary

Cook Medical Incorporated seeks a Lead Research and Development Engineer to apply engineering principles to solve complex challenges, ensuring products meet clinical needs, safety, and quality standards. You will lead the development of drug-device combinations and supervise stability studies per ICH guidelines, guiding API characterization and analytical methods.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7 years’ relevant experience.
Experience in a technical role within Medical Device or regulated industry/adjacent experience.
Project/technical leadership experience.
Experience working closely with senior leadership.
Mentoring, guiding, and training employees within an area of expertise is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead medium to large projects/programs.
Lead all key design decisions to ensure quality of design selection to meet customer needs.
Retrospective project reviews to understand lessons learned.
Implementation of strategic goals within area of expertise.
Work with senior leadership to identify focus area(s) for multiple projects.
