The Vanguard Group in Ireland seeks an experienced finance professional to oversee the preparation of fund financial statements and regulatory reports. You will work to ensure accuracy and compliance for shareholder and regulatory filings, acting as an escalation point and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

With at least seven years in financial services or reporting, a finance or accounting degree is preferred, and professional designations are advantageous.

Formación

• Minimum of seven years related work experience in financial services or financial reporting.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Finance or Accounting degree preferred.
• CPA, CA or other financial designation preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs analytical review of reports for medium complexity funds for accuracy. Validates results and performs control checks to ensure accurate results from service providers.
• Oversees the completion of the group's key deliverables. Reviews selected financial reports for accuracy. Analyzes financial reports, and researches and resolves items that exceed established tolerance levels.
• Completes fund financial statements and reports for shareholder and regulatory reporting in accordance with local regulatory reporting requirements. Serves as escalation point of contact for the department. Shares knowledge and assists colleagues with problem resolution.
• Identifies and documents any areas of control gaps. Recommends improvement measures and manages the strengthening and maintenance of the internal control framework.
• Manages policies and procedures and identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations for process improvements. Ensures controls are implemented and executed to mitigate risk.
• Develops and maintains broad understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and ensures compliance. Keeps current on global regulatory changes that will affect fund financial statement disclosures, and works with third party service providers and auditors to develop and implement changes.
• Facilitates the fund certification process, including scheduling and preparing necessary certification documents.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
