Job summary

Leinster Appointments is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the established finance team in Co. Kildare. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage a broad range of accounting duties across multiple entities and currencies, ensuring timely monthly accounts and VAT submissions.

The role requires strong numeracy, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a busy environment. Hybrid working follows onboarding, with training and support provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident and professional communicator with clients.
• Experience in a multi-company and multi-currency environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable across multiple entities.
• Process monthly payment runs.
• Record bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
• Prepare bi-monthly VAT submissions for review and filing.
• Assist with annual budgeting processes.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required.
