Job summary

AMD is hiring a Database & Data Platforms Engineer to join the global Database and Data Platforms team. You will work on enterprise databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and data platforms across Azure, AWS, Snowflake, and related technologies.

The role focuses on learning, mentoring, and contributing to a diverse tech stack including Spark, Dremio, Dataiku, Kadster, and Kubernetes. You will collaborate with teams worldwide, gain hands-on experience in a large-scale environment, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

Support and administer enterprise database platforms across a global production environment.
Partner with applications, data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.
Monitor health, performance, capacity, and availability of database environments.
Investigate and resolve incidents related to databases and data platforms.
Automate operational processes with scripts and workflows.
Develop data pipelines and data lake technologies.
Collaborate across global locations to deliver reliable data services.
