Job summary

SMBC is seeking a Cyber Security Compliance Analyst to join our Cyber Security team in Ireland. This role focuses on security access, compliance and remediation, supporting stakeholders to resolve password, access and security-related issues.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in compliance, risk or controls, with excellent communication skills to translate technical security information into clear business language.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in compliance, risk, controls, information security or cyber security governance.
• Strong compliance or controls background.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with the confidence to engage senior and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to translate technical or security information into clear business language for non-technical audiences.
• Good understanding of access management, security policies and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Experience in banking or regulated environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with identity and access management or cyber security controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage outreach relating to password, access and security compliance issues through to remediation.
• Review access logs, security information and compliance reports to identify issues requiring action.
• Support engagement with C-suite, senior leadership and business stakeholders to communicate security issues and required actions.
• Translate technical security information into clear, actionable business communications.
• Coordinate identified issues through to remediation, following up with stakeholders and escalating where required.
• Escalate complex or higher-risk issues to appropriate Cyber Security specialists.
• Support incident response, security monitoring and remediation activities.
• Partner with Cyber Security, Technology and Risk teams to strengthen security controls and compliance.
