Job summary

eir Business is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a team delivering managed network services to a large Irish enterprise client. You will design, implement and support secure network and security solutions across on‑premises and Azure, with a strong focus on Check Point and Cisco technologies.

The role involves automation of Azure infrastructure using Terraform, API‑driven security, incident response and compliance, plus ongoing optimisation of cloud networking and security

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and operating networking and security in on‑premises and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, Check Point CloudGuard and ExpressRoute.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and IaC for automation.
• Experience with API-driven security integrations and Cisco technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support secure network and security solutions on‑premises and Azure.
• Automate Azure infrastructure and security deployments using Terraform and IaC.
• Manage Check Point CloudGuard policies and configurations.
• Support Cisco routing, switching, BGP, IPSec, and Firepower technologies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise cloud network security services.
• Prepare customer-facing security reports and technical briefings.
• Ensure compliance and participate in incident response and change management.
