Job summary

AECOM’s Ireland Town Planning team seeks an Associate Director to lead planning consents from Cork or Dublin with a hybrid working policy. You will guide major development applications across Ireland and mentor planning staff.

Responsibilities include shaping planning strategy, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule, and driving business development. A degree in Town Planning and professional membership are essential.

• Significant experience leading planning consent applications in Ireland for large infrastructure projects.
• Expert witness experience beneficial.
• Strong client focus with ability to develop relationships with authorities.
• Excellent written communication and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Degree in Town Planning and professional membership required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the planning consents service and teams.
• Provide strategic planning guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Manage projects to budget and timelines with multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Oversee quality Assurance and health and safety in deliverables.
• Support business development and tender preparation.
