Job summary

AECOM’s Town Planning team is seeking a seasoned Principal Planning Consultant to join our Environment business across the Island of Ireland, with Dublin, Cork and Galway offices and a flexible hybrid working model.

You will lead planning applications, due diligence, planning advice and tendering on major infrastructure projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure regulatory-compliant outcomes and high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leading planning consents for major infrastructure projects under a range of consenting regimes, ideally within energy, transport or rail sectors.
  • High level of ability to prioritise and manage a workload whilst working flexibly.
  • Excellent knowledge, understanding and application of current and emerging planning legislation.
  • Direct ROI Planning experience.
  • Experience managing and working as part of integrated multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills with experience in reviewing the work of others to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Corporate member of the Irish Planning Institute, Chartered Member of the RTPI or equivalent.
  • Full current driving license and access to a form of transport to carry out the duties of the post.

Job Description

At AECOM, our diverse Town Planning team is recruiting an experienced Principal Planning Consultant to join our busy Environment business across the Island of Ireland. We are looking to expand our Town Planning team in Dublin, Cork and Galway offices, while supporting a flexible hybrid working model.
