Job Description
HR Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Ensure HR processes, paperwork, and systems meet legal, regulatory, and audit standards.
- Maintain readiness for internal and external audits, including ethical frameworks.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Produce regular HR KPIs and reports for senior leadership.
Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Manage recruitment agency relationships and associated spend.
- Introduce authorisation processes for hiring.
- Support workforce planning and agency worker compliance.
Employee Relations & Absence Management
- Advise managers on complex ER matters, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
- Monitor absence and implement non-attendance policies.
- Coach managers on performance management and return-to-work procedures.
Learning & Development
- Coordinate learning initiatives aligned to business needs.
- Facilitate appraisals, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Maintain training matrices and probation review trackers.
Employee Engagement & Employer Brand
- Lead engagement initiatives, forums, and annual surveys.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and company values.
- Enhance employer brand within the industry and local community.
Organisational Design & HR Advisory
- Support organisational design, policy development, and operational improvements.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and people-focused operational excellence initiatives.
Employment Claims Management
- Manage employment claims and disputes.
- Liaise with external advisors and maintain meticulous case records.
The Successful Applicant
Essential
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related discipline.
- Proven experience as HR Business Partner/Manager in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and audit standards.
- Experience in employee relations, recruitment, and workforce planning.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and leadership skills.
- Data-driven approach with HR metrics and dashboards experience.
Desirable
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional HR accreditation.
- Knowledge of ethical auditing frameworks (e.g., SEDEX).
- Experience in wellbeing and diversity initiatives.
- Track record in continuous improvement within manufacturing/FMCG.
