Job summary

Walls Construction is seeking a Health, Environmental & Safety (HSE) Advisor to deliver HSE guidance to site personnel and others. Responsibilities include reporting incidents, conducting site safety inspections and risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, communication of lessons learned, and a proactive approach to health, safety and environmental management on projects.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualifications in health & safety.
• Sound understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging trends in health and safety management.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and advice to colleagues, subcontractor personnel and other third parties.
• Proper reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses in an accurate and timely fashion and assist with investigations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments and ensure action plans are implemented by management.
• Review corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections and audits.
• Ensure Walls EHS policies and procedures are implemented and comply with legislation.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate EHS lessons learnt and other initiatives.
• Provide a proactive approach to day-to-day health, safety and environmental management.
