Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a full-time HSE Advisor to support major projects in Ireland. You will conduct audits, ensure compliance with HSE legislation, and collaborate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Health, Safety & Environmental and strong knowledge of HSE regulations. This position offers the opportunity to impact a strong safety culture in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Proactive, with excellent communication & IT skills.
  • Experience in construction / power / renewables projects is an advantage.

Overview

Matrix Recruitment is recruiting for a HSE Advisor on behalf of our Engineering client to support major transmission & distribution projects.

This role is full-time permanent, initially based on a project near Kilkenny City until June 2026, with further projects across Munster thereafter.

Your new role
  • Safety Leadership – Carry out audits, inspections, and corrective actions to ensure a strong safety culture.
  • Compliance & Standards – Ensure adherence to all HSE legislation and ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Documentation & Reporting – Prepare HSE plans, RAMS, registers, and reports for project teams and clients.
  • Collaboration – Work with site management, subcontractors, and clients to promote “Mission Zero” initiatives.
What You Need
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Health, Safety & Environmental.
  • Strong knowledge of current HSE legislation & regulations.
  • Proactive, with excellent communication & IT skills.
  • Experience in construction / power / renewables projects is an advantage.
