Job description

Blanchardstown Dublin 15, Blanchardstown Dublin 15

At Tigers Childcare, we don't just hire for roles - we hire for impact.

As our HR Business Partner, you'll help shape a positive and consistent colleague experience across a growing, multi-site organisation. You'll work closely with managers, giving practical and commercially aware HR guidance, building their confidence in people management, and helping ensure colleague matters are handled fairly, consistently and professionally.

If you're an experienced HR professional who combines sound judgement with a practical approach, and you're comfortable managing complex employee relations matters while keeping the colleague experience firmly in view, this could be your next chapter.

Why We Do What We Do

Tigers Childcare creates exceptional environments where children thrive through play, exploration and meaningful relationships. With 36 centres and growing, we're one of Ireland's leading childcare providers - committed to quality, inclusion and continuous improvement.

The same values that guide how we support children - curiosity, care, consistency and high expectations - shape how we support our teams. At Tigers, we invest in development, prioritise wellbeing, and work to make sure everyone feels they belong.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Partner with managers as a trusted HR advisor, helping them navigate employee relations, absence, wellbeing, probation and performance matters with confidence and consistency.
  • Lead internal HR investigations, including grievances, complaints and disciplinary matters, producing clear documentation and recommendations grounded in fair procedures.
  • Build manager capability through coaching, HR induction, process training, workshops and practical tools that support effective day-to-day people management.
  • Strengthen colleague engagement and retention by supporting surveys, recognition and wellbeing initiatives, leading the Tigers Colleagues' Voice forum, and using feedback and HR data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support onboarding, acquisitions and TUPE activity, helping colleagues and managers transition effectively and embed Tigers' HR policies, processes and ways of working.
  • Promote strong HR governance by supporting policy implementation and review, maintaining accurate GDPR-compliant records, assisting with DSARs, and supporting WRC inspections, audits and compliance activity.
  • Use HR data and insights to identify trends, manage risk and drive continuous improvement across engagement, performance, investigations and compliance.
  • Take the HR lead on colleague workplace accidents and incidents where required, coordinating the HR response with relevant internal teams.

  • A proven ability to build trusted relationships with managers and coach them through complex people matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate and professional HR documentation.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while handling sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Experience using HR systems and data to produce reports and inform action, together with competence in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
  • A full, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel to Tigers centres.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
