Job summary

The role requires 3+ years in HR operations, strong analytics, and proficiency in English and Dutch, with French a bonus. You will support HRBPs across the EurAsia region and drive continuous improvement in a global matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR Business Operations or a similar in-country operational role.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and process efficiency.
• Knowledge of local labor laws, social legislation, and country-specific HR compliance requirements.
• Advanced command of MS Office; hands-on experience with Workday or ServiceNow is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to navigate a global matrix environment.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch (French would be a benefit).

Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence & AI Integration: establish and maintain in-country operational standards and identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into daily HR tasks.
• Continuous Improvement: use data analytics and AI insights to drive process improvements and optimize information flow between HR Partners and global centers of expertise.
• Local Compliance & Case Management: own end-to-end in-country HR transactions, verify documentation, troubleshoot processes in Workday and ServiceNow, and manage escalated cases.
• Resource for HRBPs on country-specific social legislation, employment terms, and local benefits; translate policies into compliant local practices.
• Documentation & Local Governance: maintain digital records and generate localized employment contracts and forms.
• Strategic Project Support: provide AI-enhanced reporting and guidance on HR systems for EurAsia Group initiatives.

A Day in the Life

The HR Business Operations (HRBO) team has a key role in our vision of delivering a frictionless HR experience. The HRBO team:

• Contributes to a world-class employee experience by applying HR best practices effectively and consistently.
• Provides deep business knowledge and HR expertise to HR business partners (HRBPs), enabling them to provide strategic support across the organization. More complex, escalated HR cases, coordinating responses effectively and efficiently.
• Elevates on-demand solutions (like the HR Portal, HR virtual assistant and Workday) as the go-to knowledge resource for HRBPs and their clients.

As a Human Resources Business Operations and dedicated In-Country Resource, you serve as the critical bridge between global strategy and local execution. You will act as the local operational expert, leveraging AI-driven tools to streamline workflows and ensure that HR services are delivered with precision, compliance, and speed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operational Excellence & AI Integration: Acting as the primary in-country point of contact to establish and maintain operational standards. You will proactively identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into daily HR tasks, ensuring transactions are processed with high accuracy and programs are administered efficiently.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborating closely with People Connect coordinators and the broader People Solutions team. You will use data analytics and AI insights to drive process improvements, optimizing the information flow between HR Partners and global centers of expertise.
• Local Compliance & Case Management: Contributing to the end-to-end lifecycle of in-country HR transactions. You will perform rigorous verification of required documentation and troubleshooting complex processes within Workday and ServiceNow and other Tools. You retain full ownership of escalated cases, ensuring a seamless experience for the end user.
• Serving as the definitive resource for HRBPs on country-specific social legislation, employment terms, and local benefits. You will translate global and regional policies into compliant local practices, ensuring Medtronic remains an employer of choice in the region.
• Documentation & Local Governance: Maintaining high-integrity digital records and generating localized employment contracts, correspondence, and legal forms. You will ensure all local completion requirements are met while adhering to global scanning and filing standards.
• Strategic Project Support: Providing project coordination support for EurAsia Group HR initiatives. You will empower Senior Leaders by providing AI-enhanced reporting and guidance on HR systems (Workday, Recognize, etc.), directing them to self-service tools and documented resources as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR Business Operations, HR Generalist, or a similar in-country operational role.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and process efficiency.
• Knowledge of local labor laws, social legislation, and country-specific HR compliance requirements.
• Advanced command of MS Office programs; hands-on experience with Workday or ServiceNow is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to navigate cross-functional teams in a global matrix environment.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken), French would be a benefit.

• Highly organized with a strong aptitude for detail-oriented paperwork, follow-up, and complex project coordination.

The final salary within this range will be determined based on objective, job-related criteria, including relevant experience, skills and qualifications, in accordance with our compensation framework.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
