NHS Scotland Ward 2A in Scotland is seeking a Housekeeper to support the Stroke and Older Adult Medicine ward. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, working closely with nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
The role requires enthusiasm, reliability and good communication. Full training will be provided, and previous housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service experience is advantageous.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team on Ward 2A as a Housekeeper. Ward 2A is a busy and friendly acute ward specialising in Stroke and Older Adult Medicine, providing care to patients with a wide range of complex health needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable individual to provide housekeeping support and contribute to the smooth running of the ward. The successful candidate will work closely with nursing, medical, and multidisciplinary team members to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key responsibilities include supporting meal services, monitoring and replenishing ward supplies, maintaining stock levels, ensuring clinical and non-clinical areas are tidy and well organised, and assisting with housekeeping duties that promote patient comfort and safety. You will play an important role in supporting high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, and patient experience.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to their work. Previous housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
