Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Public Area Cleaner to join our hospitality team in Ireland. You will prepare rooms and public areas to the Dalata standard, assist in maintenance, and be ready to support other departments when needed.

You will maintain hygiene, safety, and presentation across shifts starting from early mornings to evenings, while providing friendly service to guests. Dalata Academy training supports growth and internal development.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with customers.
• Good spoken English.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to work in a busy environment.
• Be a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms and general areas to the Dalata standard.
• Highlight any items or areas that need maintenance.
• Be open for work in other departments.
• Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel to the Dalata standard.
• Ensure all public areas are clean, tidy, safe and well presented throughout the shift.
• Replenish supplies where required, including toilet paper, hand towels, soap and other guest/staff amenities.
• Support the Accommodation team with room cleaning or other duties when required.
• Be open to supporting other departments when needed.
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to guests and colleagues.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation at all times.
• Follow all hotel health and safety procedures, including manual handling and chemical safety.
• The Public Area Cleaner role requires flexible working hours. Shifts will vary between early morning with a start at 7am and finishing at 10pm.
