Job summary

Hodson Bay Hotel is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance across the property, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will inspect and service mechanical and electrical systems, coordinate with contractors and participate in an on-call rota as required. A relevant trade qualification and strong problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in a technical role.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical systems, building services, or plant equipment.
• Ability to understand technical information and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the hotel and facilities.
• Perform routine inspections, meter readings and fault diagnostics to prevent failures.
• Repair pumps, motors, boilers, HVAC and lighting systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly in a busy hotel environment.
• Maintain work orders, records and compliance documentation.
