Café Assistant Leighlinbridge, Carlow
This Position is a fulltime permannent role and would not suite candidates looking for part time weekend work.

We are currently recruiting for a Café Assistant in our award-winning Rachels Garden Café in our Arboretum Leighlinbridge Store, which was named Garden Centre of the Year in 2019 by Retail Excellence Ireland. This role is a full-time position which includes weekdays and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve and present food to customers in accordance with company policy; ensure it is of the highest standard with emphasis on quality and presentation.
- Keep the café clean, set up and prepared throughout the shift, paying particular attention to the cleanliness of floors, tables, chairs, trays, cutlery, glassware.
- Replenish counters and fridges as required throughout the day or as guided by the on-duty supervisor/manager.
- Maintain a presentable, clean appearance and wear the correct staff uniform and name badge.
- For cashiers, follow all required controls and processes around cash procedures and ensure appropriate customer interaction.
- At end of day, clean and reset the café for the following morning, including seating areas, children’s playground, café toilets and entrance/exit areas as directed.
- Attend company training with particular attention to Health & Safety requirements and Food Hygiene.
- Assist customers and direct them to the correct counters or areas as needed.
- Pass on customer feedback to the appropriate supervisor/manager for follow-up and actions.
- Demonstrate a high level of communication and attention to detail regarding customer requirements.
